Each year United Way Quad Cities helps hundreds of local families prepare their income taxes, free of charge, with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

Trained volunteers will prepare taxes for FREE for Quad Citizens with a household income of $64,000 or less — and make sure they receive all tax credits they are eligible for including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC).

The MLK Center is one of eight sites that will host the VITA program. The center will be a walk in only in-person tax filing site.

Volunteers will be at the center the following days/times:

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Saturdays: 9:00 AM - Noon.
