This program aims to prepare people to work in the building trades and to increase the number of minorities, women and disadvantaged persons working on Illinois Department of Transportation projects. Each year, United Way Quad Cities helps hundreds of local families prepare their income taxes, free of charge, with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance).
Trained volunteers prepare taxes for FREE for Quad Citizens with a household income of $57,000 or less — and make sure they receive all tax credits they are eligible for.

VITA hours at the MLK Center: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5pm-8pm, and Saturdays from 9am-noon.
