Each year United Way helps hundreds of local families prepare their income taxes, free of charge, with our Volunteer Income Tax Assistant (VITA) program.

Trained volunteers will prepare taxes for FREE for Quad Citizens with a household income of $60,000 or less — and make sure you receive all tax credits you are eligible for including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC).

The MLK Center is one of eight sites that will host the VITA program. The center will be a walk in only in-person tax filing site.

Volunteers will be at the center Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM - Noon.

United Way thanks tax filers for respecting and following health and safety guidelines as posted by tax preparation sites to prevent the spread of illness.
